Visited Aji no Sapporo Onishi at night. Perhaps the most popular ramen shop in Aomori City. The name of this shop is a little confusing because it includes “Sapporo” in it. But actually this shop is in Aomori, not in Hokkaido. The Miso Curry Milk Ramen I ordered is sometimes described as Aomori’s soul food.

Drove to Fujisaki Town today. About 53 minutes’ drive from the center of Aomori City. Located in the middle of the Tsugaru Plain, this town is known as the birthplace of an apple variety called “Fuji” which is now very popular across the country. Mount Iwaki stood majestically before my eyes. With a height of 1,625m, it is the highest mountain in Aomori Prefecture and is often called “Tsugaru Fuji.”

Strolled around the area by the port of Aomori (in Aomori Prefecture in the Tohoku Region). The above photos include three symbols of Aomori City. The large vessel is called the Hakkoda-maru. She used to carry countless passengers between Aomori and Hakodate in Hokkaido. Since 1988, she has been used as a museum. The modern bridge seen on the left is the Aomori Bay Bridge. The triangular building on the right is called ASPM, which has one of the largest souvenir areas on its first floor (ground floor).
